MINUTES OF THE YC-AFT EXECUTIVE BOARD,
September 20, 2003
1. The meeting of the executive board Yuba College-American Federation of Teachers, Local 4952 was called to order on September 20, 2003 in Woddland, California at 12 PM.
2. Those present were Dave Althausen, Doug Harris, Dan Salamone, and Suzanne Wakim.
3. The minutes of August 23, 2003 will be emailed to the board for approval.
4. Board of Trustees:
A. Dave Althausen took his class of students to this meeting.
B. The board approved the hiring of a part-time librarian for Woodland.
5. Site Councils
A. Woodland – Dave Althausen. Discussed current smoking ban on campus.
B. Marysville – Dan Salamone. Discussed organizational issues
C. Lake – Doug Harris. Have not met.
6. Academic Senate
A. Dave Althausen. Discussed need for better communication between all campuses in district.
7. David White was invited to attend the executive council meeting and address the board, but was unable to do so due to a previous engagement.
8. Parity Checks will be out in next paycheck.
9. Adjournment
A. Meeting was adjourned at 2:30 PM
B. Next Meeting is scheduled for September 20, 2003 in Woodland; and October, 18, 2003 in Williams
